Montreal, November 2, 2021 – The Montreal Chamber Music Festival has pulled off a  real tour de force by presenting the iconic Israeli violinist, violist and conductor Pinchas Zukerman on Monday, November 8 in Bourgie Hall of the Montreal Museum of Fine  Arts (MMFA). His world tour will bring him to Montreal for a rare Canadian concert.

The artist will be joined by the equally renowned Canadian cellist Amanda Forsyth, a  JUNO Award winner and one of North America’s most dynamic cellists, who has  performed with such prestigious ensembles as the Royal Philharmonic and the Israel  Philharmonic, the English Chamber Orchestra, the San Diego and Grand Rapids  Symphony Orchestras in the U.S., as well as at numerous summer festivals including  Edinburgh in Scotland. In recent years, Amanda Forsyth has performed with the  Zukerman Trio on tours of Italy, Spain, China, Korea and Japan. Ms. Forsyth is,  incidentally, a founding member of the Zukerman ChamberPlayers.

Zukerman, who was noticed early in his career by such masters as violinist Isaac Stern  and cellist Pablo Casals, has been a sensation on the world music scene for over 40  years. “His exceptional musicality, prodigious technique and the highest artistic standards have amazed audiences and critics alike,” said Festival founder and Artistic  Director Denis Brott, C.M., noting that Zukerman’s magnetism and passion remain an  inexhaustible source of inspiration. The Montreal Chamber Music Festival brings live  music back to Montreal with the astonishing Jerusalem Quartet as well, whose  trademark is passion, precision and warmth, since 1993.

The Jerusalem Quartet’s reputation for excellence has taken them, with their vast  repertoire and intensity of expression, to the greatest stages of North America’s major  capitals, including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Washington and  Cleveland.

Bruckner, Dvořák and Brahms will therefore shine brightly on November 8” added the  Festival’s Artistic Director, expressing his gratitude to the firm COGECO, the Consulate  General of Israel and the current Chairman of the Festival’s Board of Directors, writer,  composer and computer scientist Francis Malka, who have made possible this magical  musical spectacle of a series of 5 different programs that will feature only world-class  artists by December 7.

Tickets are on sale on the Festival website at: www.festivalmontreal.org A 15% recognition discount will be offered to purchasers of 3 or more tickets. This  rebate is valid for all concerts on the Festival’s program.

All Festival performances will be performed in strict compliance with public health  regulations, including the presentation of proof of vaccination of the recognized QR  code.
