    Star Halifax singer-songwriter Ben Caplan now joins the Symphony for not just one, but two performances featuring his trademark blend of folk, gypsy, blues, and orchestra. Since his last appearance with Symphony Nova Scotia in 2012, Ben has played more than a thousand shows worldwide, earning rave reviews from fans and media alike.
     
  • THE VIENNA BOYS CHOIR

    Hear the angelic voices of the world-famous, internationally beloved Vienna Boys Choir live in their first-ever concert with Symphony Nova Scotia! Thanks to the generosity of Halifax philanthropists Margaret and David Fountain, the world’s best-loved choir brings its “bright, light voices through the centuries” (New York Times) to Nova Scotia for a rare performance of iconic choral music, including favourites from Brahms, Mendelssohn, and Schumann. Plus, hear a virtuoso performance from Canadian French hornist Louis-Philippe Marsolais, performing Mozart’s delightful Horn Concerto no. 3.

    The Vienna Boys Choir will also be the guests of honour at Halifax Dance’s grand Viennese Opera Ball, happening Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Halifax’s World Trade and Convention Centre. The Opera Ball is a unique and extraordinary performing arts gala that features Symphony Nova Scotia’s full orchestra along with cocktails, ballroom dancing, and a special performance from the National Ballet of Canada. Tickets for Symphony Nova Scotia’s 2015/16 lineup have been available exclusively through ticket packages since March, and seating for many concerts is already limited.

Anyone under age 30 or any full-time students can attend any of the orchestra’s classical and Baroque music concerts for only $16 per ticket!
