March 12th sat Salle Claude-Léveillée, Place des Arts

Montreal, March 3rd, 2025 – Pro Musica is proud to announce the second Mélodînes concert of the season, to be held on Wednesday, March 12th at 12:10 p.m. in Salle Claude-Léveillée at Place des Arts. This is the duo of Cyrille Angers on flute and Bruce Gaulin on piano with a highly diverse repertoire.

Cyrille Angers

Cyrille Angers, a Quebec City native admitted to the Conservatoire de musique de Québec in 2018, becomes a gold medalist at the Concours de musique de la Capitale and a Fondation du Conservatoire de musique scholarship recipient in 2019. He received the Alain Marion Excellence Scholarship from the Académie internationale de musique du Domaine Forget in 2021. He also distinguishes himself by winning several prizes at national music competitions, including first place at the Canadian Music Competition (2022) and the OMNI Music Competition (2021/ 2023). These honors enabled him to perform as a soloist with the Orchestre Métropolitain in the “Tutti 2023” competition.

Bruce Gaulin

Bruce Gaulin has won First Prizes in numerous competitions, including the Festivals du Royaume, de Clermont-Pépin and Saint-Pierre de Saurel, the Concours de Musique de la Capitale and the Canadian Music Competition, where he was a finalist in the Tremplin. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has performed at the Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur, Orford Musique, the Festival de Musique de Chambre de Sainte-Pétronille, the Préludes de l’Orchestre Symphonique de Québec, the Opéra de Québec and the Orchestre symphonique de la Côte-Nord. He is also the co-founder and manager of Ensemble Renouveau.
