Montreal, March 14th , 2025. Pro Musica is delighted to announce that the first concert of its Cartes Blanches season will take place on March 30th at 3 p.m. in Salle Pierre-Mercure, Centre Pierre-Péladeau, with Canadian virtuoso Jaeden Izik-Dzurko at the piano.

Johann Sebastian Bach: Partita No. 4 in D major, BWV 828
Sergei Rachmaninov: 10 Preludes, Op. 23
Intermission
Alexandre Scriabine: Fantasy in B minor, Op. 28
Frédéric Chopin: Sonata No. 3 in B minor, Op. 58
Winner of the Leeds International Piano Competition 2024, Jaeden became the first Canadian winner of the Grand Prize in an instrumental edition of the Montreal International Music Competition (MIMC) in May 2024. An experienced recitalist, Jaeden has made acclaimed debuts at Madrid’s Auditorio Nacional de Música, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts in Illinois, the Vancouver Recital Society, the Münchner Künstlerhaus and Salle Cortot. He will tour Korea in spring 2025 and perform in recital and with orchestras throughout Europe through the Steinway Prizewinner Concerts Network as a CMIM and Leeds Laureate. October 2024 marks the release of Jaeden’s first EP on Warner Classics, featuring a selection of his performances at the Leeds Competition.
Born in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, he received his Bachelor of Music degree at The Juilliard School under Yoheved Kaplinsky and his Master of Music degree at the University of British Columbia with Corey Hamm. He is also a former student of Ian Parker. Jaeden currently studies with Jacob Leuschner at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold and Benedetto Lupo at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
