Orchestra Roster Announced for Mainly Mozart All-Star Orchestra Festival Returning to San Diego

San Diego, Calif. – June 11, 2024 – Mainly Mozart is excited to announce the full orchestra roster the Mainly Mozart All-Star Orchestra Festival, the country’s largest gathering of concertmasters and principal players from the nation’s top orchestras, who come together each summer in San Diego for a week of remarkable performances of classical music’s finest scores. Tickets available now.
The orchestra, led by Maestro Michael Francis, will perform six, unique concerts at two venues: the new Epstein Family Amphitheater and The Conrad, both located in La Jolla.

Soloists

The opening concert June 20 features internationally acclaimed pianist Georgi Li performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21. The June 22 concert features the San Diego Master Chorale joined by soloists Erica Petrocelli from the LA Opera and acclaimed opera singer Babatunde Akinboboye. The June 27 performance features Robert DeMaine, principal cellist of the LA Phil, on Concerto for Cello and Wind Orchestra by Gulda. The closing night performance on June 29 features one of America’s foremost violinists, Stefan Jackiw.
