TORONTO, September 7, 2023 – The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) welcomed its President & CEO Designate, Alexander Brose, this week. Mr. Brose will begin his yearlong transition with current Michael and Sonja Koerner President & CEO, Dr. Peter Simon, who will retire on August 31, 2024.
“I am so incredibly excited to be here, finally, in Toronto and at The Royal Conservatory. I cannot wait to get to know the diverse community that supports this historic institution – from teachers, students, staff, donors, and a myriad of other important stakeholders – and to participating in the RCM’s evolution. This coming year for me will be one of listening, of learning what the genome of The Royal Conservatory is, and of starting to understand what has been done so well here for so long. It’s an exciting time and I look forward to the many conversations that will transpire in the months to come,” said Mr. Brose.
