We were 10 years old…

And yet, this year, we do not have the heart to celebrate.

Our story had started simply. At the heart of our project, the idea of bringing together artists from Quebec and elsewhere around the music of Slavic countries. In a tribute to the Russian Seasons of Paris, one hundred years later, we wanted to share, for the time of an edition, moving, joyful, astonishing encounters, in the universality of art…

This respectful and peaceful universality is unfortunately not a bulwark against the brutality and cruelty that we are witnessing today. We refuse to bear the burden of a war that is not ours and that strips the world of its humanity.

So, for this year, the beautiful music of the Russian Seasons of Montreal must be silent. But if you share our values of humanism and still believe in the universality of music, we invite you to help those who need it most today: the refugee victims of this hideous conflict.
