Montreal, March 25th, 2024 – Pro Musica is delighted to announce that the third concert in the Mélodînes series will feature a brilliant trio formed by Irina Krasnyanskaya and featuring Julia Mirzoev on violin, Braden McConnell on cello and Antoine Rivard-Landry on piano. True to its theme for the year, the concert will feature symphonic works transcribed for small ensemble.

Violinist Julia Mirzoev, named one of Canada’s 30 most promising young musicians by the CBC, has distinguished herself at the Klein International Competition, the OSM Competition and the Canadian Music Competition, where she won the Grand Prize. As a soloist, she has been invited by several prestigious orchestras. Cellist Braden McConnell has taken part in many competitions and won numerous prizes. As a guest artist, he has toured Brazil and Argentina and performed at Carnegie Hall. As a chamber musician, he has been a member of the Persée and Myriade string quartets. Antoine Rivard-Landry, pianist, takes part in several competitions, including the Orchestre symphonique de Trois-Rivières Competition, where he won 1st prize, and the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal Competition, where he won 2nd prize. In 2016, he embarked on a career as soloist, chamber musician and accompanist.
