2023 Voice Competition : the candidates
- Applications for the 2023 voice edition were closed on Wednesday 7 December 2022. 412 singers aged 18 to 33 years old have
- In January, the videos of the candidates were viewed behind closed doors by an international jury, presided by Bernard Foccroulle and consisting of : Marc Clémeur, Helmut Deutsch, Sumi Jo, Sophie Karthäuser, José Van Dam and Reinoud Van
- 68 candidates were selected to participate in the first public round of this
- Since four of the selected singers had to withdraw, there are currently 64 participants : 28 sopranos, 15 mezzo-sopranos, 1 contralto, 7 tenors, 9 baritones and 4 basses.

The tenth edition of the Queen Elisabeth Competition for Voice will take place from 21 May to 3 June, in Flagey and the Brussels Centre for Fine Arts. The schedule of the first round will be announced after the drawing of lots, which takes place on Friday evening 19 May. The complete list of jury members will be published mid-March.

Following the departure of Arie Van Lysebeth and the appointment of Gilles Ledure at the head of the Queen Elisabeth Competition jury, Bernard Foccroulle has been designated as Chairman of the Jury for the 2023 voice session.
