Ganz Kleine Nachtmusik (which means “Quite a little night music”) is composed for string trio and has seven movements. It will be performed twice on September 27, 2024 – at 5:30 pm and again at 6:30 pm. These are free concerts and will take place at MacKay United Church, 39 Dufferin Road in New Edinburgh. Performers will be Jeremy Mastrangelo and Sara Mastrangelo on violin and Julian Armour on cello.
This work was likely written in the mid-to-late 1760’s when Mozart was in his early teens.
“It is incredibly exciting to discover a new work by Mozart!” states Music and Beyond’s Artistic and Executive Director, Julian Armour. “It is a wonderful piece, and I’m so happy that we’re able to offer it to the Ottawa public as our way of saying thank you for all of the great support we have had over the past four years.”
While there is no charge for the concert, people must reserve in advance at www.musicandbeyond.ca
