The current confinement and the closing of international borders do not prevent music from traveling and coming to us. Inspired by the lyrics of Robert Charlebois’s Je reviendrai à Montréal, the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) invites you to an International Online Festival.

On the very dates the Piano 2020 edition was to be held, the CMIM invites you to discover several of the young pianists selected for the 2020 edition and who have already announced their return to Montreal for the 2021 edition.

Every day at noon from May 4 to 14, 2020, from their respective living environment all over the planet, the selected competitors will perform short recitals giving us a taste of the next competition to be held in Montreal from May 25 to June 2, 2020.

Join us online the at CMIM website.

Je reviendrai à Montréal

The CMIM is pleased to announce the release of the new album of the Grand prize winner of the 2017 piano edition, Zoltán Fejérvári. With this CD, under the ATMA Classique label, the young Hungarian pianist offers a program entirely devoted to piano music by Robert Schumann.

Beyond the competition, the CMIM is committed to supporting its winners with concert projects, recordings and any other promotional activity likely to kick off their careers. This CD is a fine example! It is possible thanks to the contribution of the Azrieli Foundation which annually offers the Joseph-Rouleau Career Development Grant to the winners.

He is a brilliant pianist, intelligent and very attentive to the score. In fact, he knows how to tell a story. His playing is detailed, of an astonishing technique.
