Montreal, 12 March 2020 – Following the official announcement by the Premier of Quebec, Mr. François Legault, aimed at limiting public gatherings beyond 250 people to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus, The International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA ) must cancel its 38th edition, originally scheduled for March 17 to 29, 2020.
“The situation having evolved rapidly, we honor and respect the decision by the public authorities. In 38 years of existence, this is the first time that our major annual event will not take place. Over the past few months, the FIFA team has worked with dedication and passion to prepare an exceptional edition this year. We will keep this energy and pursue the unique mission of the Festival at a later date.”, declared Philippe U. del Drago, FIFA’s Executive Director.
