The 2023 Festival Metamorphosis celebrates how the fascinating world of classical music has grown and transformed into the exciting musical moment in which we find ourselves.

The theme of Metamorphosis is particularly apt. It represents the re-emergence after a transformative time; an era of new ideas built on the foundation of classical masterworks. This is an exciting juncture in classical music where we have top musicians inspiring us with their musical mastery alongside a new generation breaking the mold and boasting dizzying technical heights.

The 2023 season features a star-studded lineup and a host of musicians including: Sondra Radvanovsky, Míro Quartet, Yura Lee, Kelly Hall-Tomkins, Angela Hewitt, Ana Maria Martinez, and so much more!! Get you tickets now!

Featuring 11 concerts over 10 days and 60+ artists from around the globe, the 2023 Early Music Vancouver Summer Festival takes place July 27 – August 5 at various venues in Vancouver.

This year’s theme – WOMENinSIGHT – celebrates women composers, librettists, and performers of the past and present. Inspired by Christine de Pizan (1364-ca.1430) – the revolutionary writer who questioned the centuries-old treatment of women and their prescribed role in society, WOMENinSIGHT explores the impact and the role of women throughout history via a musical lens.

The opening concert is the world premiere of a newly-commissioned performance opera – The Queen of Carthage – including the compositions by modern female composers along side those of Dowland and Purcell.
