Eligibility:
- Registered as a student in a recognized Canadian PSE institution in any program or field
of study - Legally allowed to work in Canada according to the laws and regulations of the province
or territory where they work - Either a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or a person granted refugee protection
under the law. - No age limit
Intern 1: Editorial Assistant
Description
- Assisting the Editor in chief in his duties;
- Taking part in all tasks related to the preparation and publication of an arts magazine;
- Taking part in all editorial and production meetings;
- Working on production of editorial content under the editor’s supervision;
- Performing an array of writing and production related tasks;
- Updating magazine website, edit weekly e-newsletter and edit LSM’s social media
- Period: Part-time: Fall & Winter, 18 hrs/week to a total of 420 hours
Qualifications
- Related field of study and/or experience; Preference for a music student
- Fluency in English and French, both written and oral;
- Self starter with a sense of initiative and personal responsibility;
- Ability to work under pressure and tight schedules;
- Knowledge of HTML and Photoshop, an asset;
- Knowledge of the arts in general and music in particular are a definite asset.
Intern 2: Web Programmer
Description
- Maintain, debug and improve La Scena Musicale’s WordPress CMS website at http://mySCENA.org
- Work on Future Projects, including:
- Enhance calendar including ticketing
- Customize User Profile
- Multisite
- Mobile App
- Period: Fall 2024 (September to November 2024)
- Ideal for Co-op students
Qualifications
- Related field of study and/or experience;
- Self starter with a sense of initiative and personal responsibility;
- Ability to work under pressure and tight schedules;
- Knowledge of HTML, php, WordPress, databases and necessary programming languages
- Knowledge of the arts and music are a definite asset.
