Named after the singing femmes fatales of Greek mythology, Sirens is lauded for its pure tone quality, sensitive musicality and tight ensemble. Without a conductor at the podium, haunting harmonies and subtle stage movement separates Sirens from traditional choral practices, taking its audience on an intimate and inclusive performance experience!
Enter the mythical world with haunting music that explores ancient texts, folklore and legends. PEI’s own women’s choral ensemble Sirens is back at St. Mary’s, before travelling to Newfoundland for Podium, Canada’s choral conference and festival. The concert includes a special preview performance of their newly commissioned work from Canadian choral composer Jeff Enns!
