Based on a poem by James Agee, Morten Lauridsen’s “Sure on This Shining Night” has become one of the composer’s most recognized choral works, performed by ensembles the world over. Join Coro Vivo Ottawa in celebration of acclaimed 20th and 21st century choral music featuring the splendid works and fresh vitality of Lauridsen, Whitacre, Gjeilo and other outstanding contemporary choral composers who have influenced, and are currently influencing, the landscape and conception surrounding choral music. This intimate program, under the insightful direction of Antonio Llaca, is filled with rich harmonies and outstanding composition that is sure to be an audience favourite.
