Sondra Radvanovsky is widely considered the world’s greatest living soprano. Her voice’s depth and exquisite colour are matched by her dramatic acting ability and versatility across a remarkable range of repertoire. The Chicago Tribune referred to Radvanovsky’s voice as “the most beautiful and thrilling in opera today”, while Opera News wrote that “Radvanovsky’s gift for singing soars above all.” She has performed leading roles in every major opera house in the world, including London’s Royal Opera House, Teatro alla Scala, Opernhaus Zürich, and The Metropolitan Opera. For this spectacular special presentation recital, the opera star performs vocal works by Henry Purcell, Sergi Rachmaninov, Franz Liszt, Henri Duparc, Jake Heggie, Umberto Giordano, and Richard Strauss, along with Bel Canto songs by Giuseppe Verdi, Vincenzo Bellini, and Stefano Donaudy. Award-winning American pianist Anthony Manoli accompanies the soprano.
