To round out the orchestra’s 25th Anniversary season, Sinfonia Toronto music director Nurhan Arman leads a program which appropriately spans from old to new and shines the spotlight on four of the ensemble’s own superb musicians in all-time-favourite double concertos by Bach and Vivaldi. Listeners will also her the world premiere of a poetic work written especially for the anniversary by New York composer Stanley Grill and one of the greatest pieces ever written for string orchestra, the magnificent Serenade by Tchaikovsky.
