Sinfonia Toronto escorts listeners through a musical gallery of vivid images in Mussorgsky’s famous Pictures at an Exhibition on November 10 at the Trinity-St. Paul’s Centre. Led by Music Director Nurhan Arman, the orchestra welcomes Italian flute virtuoso Luisa Sello for the world premiere of JUNO award winning composer Chan Ka Nin’s Doñas de Fuera (Women from the Outside), bringing a supernatural Sicilian folk tale to life in sound plus acting as part of the solo role. Ms. Sello will also play the Canadian premiere of Rugiada – Elegy for Flute in G by Ezio Monti. Continuing the collection of new works celebrating the orchestra’s 25th Anniversary, the program includes Alexandar Simić’s In Memoriam.
