In Sandpaper hammock Aliyah Aziz performs with custom-made gloves to draw out electromagnetic sounds from old CRT monitors, a camera, and other electric signals. She mixes those sounds with spoken word, electronic pedals and loopers.
The performance will be streamed online. Register in advance for access.
The performance of Sandpaper Hammock is a feature presentation of the Deep Wireless Festival of Radio and Transmission Art. For 25 years Deep Wireless has provided a platform for artists to explore the possibilities of broadcast media and transmission technologies.
