Laurianne Houde has participated in national competitions for over 15 years. In 2016, she distinguished herself as a finalist in the Virtuoso Competition on ICI Radio-Canada, produced by Gregory Charles. She has won first prizes at the Canimex Canadian Music Competition in 2014, 2015 and 2019, as well as the Grand Prize in 2021. That same year, she won the iA Financial Group Cup at the Concours de musique de la Capitale. Philippe Gagné enrolled at the Rimouski Conservatory of Music at the age of 9. He won a first prize at the Canadian Music Competition / Canimex in 2011 and the Grand Prize in 2016. Philippe has been awarded twice the “Mérite de la ville de Rimouski” scholarship. In 2017, he began studies in engineering physics at Laval University and a bachelor’s degree in piano at the Conservatoire de musique de Québec. For this concert the musicians have chosen works by Sergei Prokofiev, Maurice Ravel, Marc-André Hamelin and Nikolai Kapustine.
