Originally a pianist, Nicolas Ellis is the Artistic Director, Conductor and Founder of the Orchestre de l’Agora in Montreal and also serves as Artistic Associate of the Orchestre Métropolitain. He is also a guest conductor with many Canadian orchestras. Philippe Prud’Homme is a Quebec pianist and composer. He won seven First Prizes at the Canadian Music Competition including the Grand Prize in 2016. That same year, he was named by CBC Music as one of Canada’s top 30 musicians under the age of 30. A composer himself, Philippe writes for concert and theater. In this program, the musicians will present works by Samuel Barber, Sergei Rachmaninoff and Philippe Prud’homme.
