A “performer of almost superhuman technical prowess” (The New York Times), pianist Marc-André Hamelin performs regularly around the world with the greatest orchestras and conductors of our time. He is an exclusive artist on Hyperion Records, where his discography spans over 70 albums. He has composed music throughout his career, with more than 30 compositions to his credit, mostly published by Peter Editions. Marc-André Hamelin has received seven (7) Juno Awards and eleven (11) Grammy nominations. He is also an Officer of the Order of Canada, a Knight of the National Order of Quebec and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. For this concert, pianist Marc-André Hamelin has chosen to perform works by Paul Dukas and Beethoven.
