Robert Levin, eminent pianist and musicologist, and member of the International Jury of Piano 2024, offers an illuminating lecture-recital on the idiomatic embellishment and cadenzas in Mozart. Acclaimed around the world for his performances on the harpsichord, the fortepiano, and the standard piano, Professor Levin is renowned for his restoration of Classical period practice, as well as for his intellect and humour. Levin’s performances of works by Mozart have been hailed for their mastery of the Classical musical language, where his improvisational skills are legendary. A rare opportunity to encounter one of the great musical minds of our time.
