For its virtually annual appearance under the Big Top in Saint-Sauveur, the Orchestre Métropolitain will be conducted by its illustrious maestro, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who, in addition to leading the orchestra, has received honorary doctorates and Grammy awards. These outdoor concerts are a great opportunity for the OM to meet the public. The programme includes the fervent lyricism of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Ballad for Orchestra in A minor, the passionate storm of Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman, Jean Coulthard’s grandiose landscapes of Kalamalka Lake, the fieriness of Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7 and the vibrant energy of Marquez’s Danzon. A magical evening in an intimate setting, generating pure happiness!
