A rich banquet of cross-cultural music will give the 2019 Toronto Summer Music Festival and its “Beyond Borders” theme a spectacular launch. Hosted by CBC’s Tom Allen, the evening will showcase soprano Adrianne Pieczonka, pianist Jon Kimura Parker, violinist Kerson Leong, pianist Steven Philcox, and the New Orford String Quartet – with performances of works by Mozart, Strauss, Kreisler, Ravel, Sarasate and Chopin. Following the performance, everyone will toast to #TSM2019 with a champagne reception.
