Dans ce concert incitant à l’introspection, le Nouveau Quatuor Orford juxtapose Haydn, qui propose une réflexion sur la souffrance et la rédemption, et le compositeur américain George Crumb, qui distingue les notions du bien et du mal. Composées à 200 ans d’écart ces deux œuvres sont réunies dans une étonnante unité.

Joseph Haydn’s Seven Last Words are soulful meditations on suffering and redemption, while George Crumb’s Black Angels explores the concepts of good and evil. In a thought-provoking and immersive concert experience, the New Orford blends these two works, separated by nearly two hundred years, evoking a surprising and natural unity.
