Neukomm et Weber sont deux compositeurs ayant particulièrement souligné le caractère lyrique de l’instrument dans leurs quintettes pour cordes et clarinette

At the turn of the 19th century, the clarinet imposed itself as the melodic instrument par excellence to illustrate new aesthetics of Romanticism. Neuokmm and Weber are two composers who particularly underlined the lyrical character of the instrument in their quintets for strings and clarinet.
