Named after the Canadian national park, the Philadelphia-based Jasper String Quartet has scaled the musical peaks, winning the prestigious CMA (Chamber Music America) Cleveland Quartet Award and other chamber music competitions. Professional Quartet in Residence at Temple University’s Center for Gifted Young Musicians, the ensemble formed in 2006 at Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio, and has performed at Carnegie Hall and Wigmore Hall, having toured in North America, England, Italy, Japan, Korea, Norway, and Panama.
In its Mooredale Concerts debut, the ensemble will perform Mozart’s String Quartet in G Major, K. 387, Prokofiev’s String Quartet No. 12 in F Major, and a Beethoven late string quartet.
