World-renowned performers and recipient of numerous awards, Quatuor Molinari plays the heartstrings with a programme emblematic of its musical eclecticism. From the panoply of effects present in Zorn’s quartet to the Viennese atmosphere of Penderecki’s work, the musicians take you on a journey through all the tonalities of a repertoire considered to be the quintessence of classical music. As ardent defenders of local composers, they also invite us to explore rich and original soundscapes with pieces by R. Murray Schafer and young Quinsin Nachof. Pianist Louise Bessette and clarinetist André Moisan bring their musical colours to this evening which covers a wide range of emotions.
