The ensemble L’Harmonie des saisons presents a program of German Baroque music for Lent. The period leading up to Easter is certainly one of reflection and meditation.

Numerous composers, including Bach and Buxtehude, wrote formidable works of striking spiritual power and beauty for this liturgical season.

The program includes works by D. Buxtehude, J. C. Bach and J. S. Bach’s Cantata BWV 4.
