Frederic, after having mistakenly been sent to be an apprentice pirate is now 21 and set to leave his pirate apprenticeship and lead a dutiful life. He meets and falls in love with Mabel, one of the daughters of a Major General, but alas , discovers that being born on the 29th of February he is not technically 21….
