On this first Sunday of Advent, the organist Louis Brouillette joins the Trium Choir under the direction of Marie-Claude Elias to present a classical repertoire out of the ordinary. Sublime choral works a capella or with organ will alternate with pieces for solo organ. You will have the privilege of hearing a motet by renowned Estrian composer Jean-François Racine and organ compositions by Liam Braidy, Louis Brouillette and Valérie Lambert Fréchette specially designed for the concert. The choral works of Brahms, Jenkins and Schubert will envelop you in a heavenly atmosphere, bright and spiritual, like a balm in this period of effervescence before Christmas. At the end of the concert, you will be impressed by the harmonious and majestic marriage of voices and organ in the festive anthem of Gerald Finzi. Come and taste all these musical pleasures. Le Chœur Trium, founded by choir director, singer and actress Marie-Claude Elias, brings together experienced people from the Eastern Townships. Louis Brouillette, Ph. D., is the musicologist of the Orchestre symphonique de Sherbrooke and the organist at the picturesque St. Barnabas Anglican Church in North Hatley.
