An Opera in 3 Acts is a real-life aria that takes you into the world of opera, with all its high notes, tragedies and art intact. When the young Louis Quilico meets the pianist Lina Pizzolongo, a personal and musical collaboration begins and Louis becomes one of the most accomplished baritones in the world. Their son, Gino, follows in his father’s footsteps and becomes a world-famous opera singer. Their story is a true story of love, fame, estrangement, breakups and finally triumph. Opera, shared by the father and son baritons as mentor and protégé, teacher and pupil, enters history by sharing an international stage both in leading roles. It is a unique example of two artists realizing their individual potential and obtaining the unprecedented opportunity to bring their family bond to the stage. Gino Quilico tells us this story through the images projected on stage and arias of Opera, Canzonetta and songs performed by this great Quebec baritone.
