Aux deux hémisphères presents on stage the compositions and works of inspiration from the first album by cellist and composer Dominique Beauséjour-Ostiguy, with his acolyte, pianist Jean-Michel Dubé. Presented in an original formula and accessible to all audiences, Aux deux hémisphères really allows you to enter the process of creation of Dominique: not only are on the program original compositions, but also featured works of the repertoire for cello and piano that were sources of inspiration in the writing process of the young composer and cellist. In both hemispheres, it makes us travel between the torment and passion of post-romantic European composers such as Rachmaninov and Fauré, the heat and fiery rhythms of Argentine composers such as Piazzolla, to finally land here, in Quebec, in this universe inspired and tinged by these two hemispheres. Lyricism, virtuosity, intensity and discovery: this is what awaits you with Aux deux hémisphères.
