Soprano Karina Gauvin leads a vocal quartet accompagnied by Michael McMahon and Olivier Godin, piano four hands. Aside from her presence in works by Brahms (Liebeslieder Walzer, book 1), she will sing the Schubert lieder Der Hirt auf den Felsen. The pianists will be heard on their own in the Introduction of the Themes and Variations in Bb Major by Franz Schubert. The performance will open with an interprétation of the movement for solo clarinet from Messiaen’s Quatuor pour la fin des temps.
