The Canadian Music Centre (CMC) is thrilled to continue our Jazz at the Centre series featuring acclaimed composer and pianist, Thompson Egbo-Egbo with a very special solo piano concert. Thompson has a gift for memorable and harmonically complex compositions that have at their core a deep, abiding groove.
His recent album, What Remains is a “brilliant and impassioned work” that is inspired by the shifts and impacts of the pandemic. “The entire album tells a story with its influences of jazz, classic rock and Latin influences. Its musical pieces resemble hills, valleys, or even rollercoaster rides.”
