Huu Bac Quach is a multi-instrumentalist from a dual Chinese and Vietnamese background. His music is a blend of Far Eastern and Peruvian influences mixed into jazz. He performs his original music within the context of a jazz group with bass, drums, piano and a violinist. Added into the mix are his instruments, the Vietnamese dan with its single string, the quena, an Andese flute, as well as the erhu (a Chinese hurdy gurdy) and an electric jazz guitar.
