Convergence is an encounter between the qanun and the cello, their contrasting timbres overlapping, clashing and finally uniting in a luminous embrace.
As sounds blend in dreamlike reverie, from this fusion emerges a profoundly moving communion. The brilliant qanun player Chaima Gaddour and masterful cellist Samih Souissi join forces in a performance where every breath, every silence opens pathways to inner freedom, their instruments giving voice to a universal and intimate dialogue, propelled by the intensity of their exchange.
The qanun, its resonant strings weaving stories of the East, breaks free from the past and yields to a renewed identity, guided by the free spirit of a woman. The cello, faithful companion to epic tales, reveals its shadows and light in an unpredictable sonic dance that brushes up against infinity. Little by little, the two instruments tame one another, converging in a universal sound that unites hearts and transcends the limits of possibility.
