The refinement and frivolity of the Viennese salons are hallmarks of Schubert’s “Trout” Quintet, whose fourth movement is inspired by the famous lied of the same name. Musicians of the OSM present this work alongside another by Schubert’s contemporary George Onslow, an extraordinary but little-known Romantic composer. An opportunity to hear pianist Godwin Friesen, winner of the 2022 OSM Competition.
