The name of Albrecht Mayer almost rhymes with the oboe. Critics have described his playing as that of a “miraculous oboe”, of an instrument to “seduce”, even as a “divine spark”. This exceptional musician who occupies the principal chair of the Berlin Philharmonic will be accompagnied by the magnificent newcomer Fabian Müller on piano, a great talent who walked away with five awards at the 2017 edition of the ARD International music competition in Munich.
