Joined by tenor Marcel d’Entremont, the chamber ensemble will play Ludlow and Teme by Gurney and the Vaughan Williams quintet in C minor.

Thursday, December 8, 2022 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm – This vibrand and exciting program features new works created by Anishinaabe-irish artist Olivia Shortt in collaboration with Canadian duo Orbit (Aliayta Foon-Dancoes and Isidora Nojkovic) and British-Canadian soprano Alexandra Smither. The program highlight is bagaskaadagaazii, a work that speaks about the lack of access to clean drinking water on reserves.

Music featured in the performance are two absorbing, expressive, and deeply spiritual pieces by the present-day Ukrainian composer Victoria Poleva, rounded out by work from Debussy, Bach, Louié, and Lutoslawski.
