This year the second week of July festival (July 12 to July 16) under the artistic direction of pianists Alexander Tselyakov and Daniel Tselyakov features six musically rich concerts, two of which are jazz-oriented. The four classical recitals are well-programmed and varied, with Alexander himself, and his talented pianist son Daniel, collaborating with saxophonist Greg Gatient, violinist Oleg Pokhanovski, clarinetist Peter Stoll, cellist Brian Yoon and others in music ranging from Bach, Beethoven to Prokofiev, Chopin and Liszt to Rachmaninoff; Bartok, Britten and Srul Irving Glick, all of which only enhance the natural beauty of Riding Mountain National Park, Manitoba, where the festival takes place. www.clearlakefestival.ca
