We conclude Scotia Festival 2020 with three works full of youthful virtuosity under the baton of our good friend, maestro Johannes Debus, Music Director of the Canadian Opera Company. Full of boisterous and witty display, Britten’s Frank Bridge Variations for string orchestra helped launch the 23-year old composer’s career. Cameron Crozman brings us a delightful showpiece by the French master Jean Françaix; and to finish, a brilliant double concerto by the 15-year-old Felix Mendelssohn, in what is sure to be a blistering performance by Kerson Leong and John Novacek.
