Enter a world of transformation, intensity and movement with Rare Beauties, a highly theatrical dance choreographed by Decidedly Jazz Danceworks Artistic Director, Kimberley Cooper. This new work from DJD explores extreme emotional stages and transformation, bringing the raw, human experience to life through movement.
Set to a dynamic soundtrack spanning multiple eras, the piece fuses music, light and costume to morph and sculpt both the dancers and the space itself. Collaborations with Hannah Fisher and Steve Isom create a living, shifting landscape, where every turn, leap and gesture is amplified by color, shadow and texture.
Rare Beauties promises to be physical, groove driven, moody, strange, and of course, beautiful.
