Élisabeth Pion is an exceptional pianist whose imaginative and sensitive approach seduces international scenes. Révélation Radio-Canada 2024-2025, she cumulates prestigious distinctions and collaborations, whether with the Orchestre Métropolitain, the Edmonton Symphony, the Arion Baroque Orchestra, the Toledo Symphony, the Victoria Symphony, the Orquestra Sinfays Brazilian or the Montreal Classical Orchestra. Her second album, Amadeus and the Empress, was released by ATMA Classique, and a recording of Ravel’s Concerto with OSTR is expected in 2025. Passionate about chamber music, she shares the stage with renowned artists such as Mark Padmore, Imogen Cooper and the Vertavo Quartet, and has performed in legendary venues such as Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall and the Barbican. Also a composer and multidisciplinary artist, she creates award-winning soundtracks for cinema and constantly explores new artistic territories. Creative musician, Elisabeth composes. She recently won the X World Short Film 2024 Prize Best Performance award, as well as the 2023 Best Original Score at the Vesuvius Festival for her music on the short film by dancer Ysabelle Taylor ‘Spirit of the Tree’. She loves meeting inventive minds: she had the chance to work with composer Thomas Adès at IMS Prussia Cove, as well as Marc-André Hamelin at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. An experienced recitalist, Élisabeth has performed in prestigious venues such as the Wigmore Hall and the Weill Recital Hall. It can be heard on CBC/Radio-Classique, BBC Radio 3 and France Musique. Her rich and bold playing, acclaimed by the critics, makes her a rising figure of the classical scene.
