To bring its music season to a close on a high note and to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Université de Montréal Faculty of Music, the Orchestre de l’Université de Montréal (OUM) invites you to a grand-scale concert at Maison symphonique de Montréal.
The audience will get to discover the talent of pianist Cissy Zhou, first prize-winner at the OUM Concerto Competition, in Maurice Ravel’s brilliant Piano Concerto in G major.
In the second part, the OUM will be joined on stage by a chorus – and by four soloists, all Faculty graduates – to perform Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 9. With its celebrated Ode to Joy, this emblematic work will transform the event into a true collective celebration – festive, powerful and radiant.
