Les Vespérales presents “Liminal States,” an immersive concert from Earth World artistic directors Adrian Foster and Joel Peters featuring new works for organ and electronics, with live projections by Anthony Piazza.
The central theme of the concert is liminality, evoking a transitional space between silence and sound, between texture and harmony, between pitch and noise. The concert serves as the inauguration of the brand new mobile and experimental organ LIMINARE (for “organum liminare,” or “liminal organ”), built by Montreal organbuilder Alexander Ross. There is a pre-concert vernissage at 18:30.
