BALDWIN, STYRON AND ME

The play explores the friendship between James Baldwin, a black writer, grandson of a slave, and his white friend, writer William Styron, grandson of a slave owner. The author of Tunisian-Saguenéenne origin, proclaims, beyond racism, violence and injustice, the need for dialogue. Sixty years later, we find echoes of it in our own news. Three actors and musician Charles Papasoff will share the stage.

Presented as part of the Conseil des arts de Montréal on tour.
