On stage, people. Of these, none are actors. Simply beings chosen for their singular life and the surprising way they have to tell each other. Individuals with very different routes and baggage, all united by a link that is as unexpected as it is fascinating. This series of short portraits draws its realist strength from documentary cinema while taking advantage of the extraordinary proximity of theatrical representation, transporting the stage and the theater on a veritable, intimate and revealing ground.

After Real Worlds and South Pole, Pas perdus is the third show of the duo Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette and Émile Proulx-Cloutier. Several hours of audio interviews were captured to form the narrative framework, magnified by sound processing preserving all the strength and authenticity of a spontaneous speech that does not replay. Pas Perdus explores our relationship to memory and transmission and demonstrates the astonishing plurality of our stories and individual quests.
